In high school, September sucks. No more beach, no more stupid summer job getting paid for doing nothing, and no more summer flings. It's back to the grind: cramming for quizzes, skimming SparkNotes (are SparkNotes still a thing?), and two-a-days in the gym. But there comes a time in a young man's life when September represents all that's good in the world. You hit Costco with your mom, pack up the car, and get back to your "real" life: college. You had to slum it all summer back at home - but September brings your return to power. Independence. Girls. Bow ties and blazers at football games, if you're lucky. And the great thing is, September will represent all those things for the rest of your life. College is only the beginning. You know how senior year was better than junior year, which was better than sophomore year, which kicked freshman year's ass? Yeah, life keeps going like that. So let's take a moment, as we approach September, to make sure that's happening. Let's get back to school.
